Probably the most ancient exhibits in the Museum are the punic trefoil jug, plate and the double nozzled lamp belonging to 600-500 BC. They are part of the Pre Christian Era Pottery showcase shown above. Other not so ancient pottery are kept in other parts of the Museum or in the reserve collection.

Fifteenth century fresco transported from the medieval chapel of St. Domenica by Rafel Bonnici Cali. It is the oldest image of Our Lady Of Graces and was discovered while the chapel was being reconstructed in 1954. Our Lady is flanked by St. Catherine and St. Domenica.

Left: 16th Century painting on panel of Our Lady of Graces, possibly a votive painting.
Right: Considered to be the first Titular painting of the Parish of Zabbar. It was already in the Sanctuary during the Great Siege (1565). The painting also shows St. Paul (?), St.Leonard and St John the Baptist as a child.
